Communications Infrastructure and AV (including AV, Security and Clinical Systems)
Project Description
The Infrastructure project included the addition of a fourth floor to the existing hospital with new Gastro-Intestinal and Dialysis Units, as well as the complete renovation of every patient room. The project spanned four years and numerous phases while maintaining ongoing daily operations. As part of the overall project, the majority of conference rooms and meetings spaces were renovated and enlarged. From an executive boardroom to an 80-person auditorium, each space was designed to best meet the evolving needs of AV support required for a modern-day healthcare facility. In total, 150,000 sq. ft. of space received new and upgraded technology. Other aspects of the AV component of the project included a new digital signage system, with a completely display driven menu board system for the new café. Archi-Technology's Role Archi-Technology was the lead technology designer for this project as well as the project coordinator of Unity Health System staff, vendors and contractors. Technology Construction Management (TCM) services were also used by Unity to ensure correct vendor installation and interoperability of the technology infrastructure and interconnected systems.
