Project Description
The project consisted of renovation and additions to the existing Commercial Building for the Buffalo and Fort Erie Public Bridge Authority. The work included four floors and approximately 68,000 sq. ft. of space. The building will allow the U.S. Customs and Border Protection to inspect trucks coming into the U.S. from Canada in a more efficient manor. It will include truck bays, docks, offices, and support facilities for the personnel doing the inspections. The project consisted of detailing door hardware for approximately 162 door openings creating more than 75 individual hardware sets. Hardware sets were developed using U.S. Customs and Border Protection Standards. Archi-Technology's Role Archi-Technology was the lead technology designer for this project as well as the project coordinator of Bride Authority staff, vendors and contractors. Technology Construction Management (TCM) services were also used by the client to ensure correct vendor installation and interoperability of the technology infrastructure and interconnected systems.
